Comments from Previous Attendees

“Dr. Scott Gerson’s Advanced Ayurvedic Workshop provided practical teachings and tools that I was not aware of and have now been able to integrate into my daily life. The 8-part workshop was beautifully arranged and covered many aspects of Ayurveda not taught in books, ranging from self-reflection practices to self-care techniques. Dr. Gerson’s teaching style allowed us to see things more holistically and understand how each practice fits into our own lives. I went into the workshop expecting to leave with Ayurvedic knowledge but what I seemed to have received was something much more precious: joy.” Gretchen M, Hartford CT

“First, Dr. Scott is warm and welcoming. He is very eager to share his journey and personal insights with the group as at the same time he taught classical Ayurvedic concepts. The days were long and the information dense, with lots of detail, but the hours flew by, and what was offered was clear and easily absorbed. The syllabus he wrote was very helpful. Dr. Gerson was so engaging, entertaining, inspiring, and knowledgeable. I learned so much. Most of the teaching was experiential and hands-on. I came away excited and motivated, and grateful that I took the time to attend this seminar. I honestly loved it!! Thank you!!” Julia E, Winston-Salem, NC

“This was an absolutely phenomenal 4 days!! Dr. Scott shared so many valuable “pearls of wisdom” that I am taking away with me, ones that I know will really make an impact in my clinical practice. It was a perfect combination of learning with lectures, demonstrations and hands-on learning and experience. I will definitely be back for future seminars. Scott demonstrates real, genuine passion and enthusiasm for teaching Ayurveda and a profound depth of detailed knowledge which would be rare to find in other U.S. courses.” It was a nice touch to have Ayurvedic massage offered at the end of the day at a reduced cost. Victor Z, Ft. Meyers, FL

“This is the second 4-day advanced seminar that I have taken with Dr. Scott Gerson! I cannot begin to describe the incredible nature of each experience!! Words cannot express it. I’ve learned so much that I’ve incorporated into my general practice as an endocrinologist. I have a clearer and more in-depth understanding of the techniques used in Ayurvedic medicine. After my second workshop, my confidence in adding pulse interpretation to my examinations has likewise increased. This has, yet again, been a tremendous learning experience and very worthwhile event. Thank you!!” Cassandra T, Manchester, NH “The ripples from the knowledge I absorbed during Dr. Gerson’s four-day Advanced Ayurvedic Workshop will have far-reaching effects on my understanding of Ayurveda and the ways in which I utilize it to treat patients. Being around Scott has given me a deeper thirst for more and more truth and understanding about the nature of health and Life.” Diedre K, Sarasota, FL

“Nowhere else in North America will you find a teacher with so much experience in direct patient care. Dr. Gerson is an active Ayurvedic physician who treats patients using Ayurvedic principles every day, so the teaching is grounded and genuine. Also I sincerely enjoyed the great sense of community that developed among the participants. The workshop was like an awakening into the self-sufficient world of Ayurvedic medicine. Every lesson in the syllabus was a wonderful ingredient in the recipe of self-awareness and self-care.” Cory A, San Diego, CA

“All seminars should be like this hands on, personal attention, leisurely, etc. I’ve never felt so connected with other participants in previous workshops or seminars either… A level of intimacy was developed between everyone in the room as the workshop progressed. The same information given was received by everyone from the different perspective of where they were, if that makes sense. Learning Ayurveda, or anything, in this way makes you crave for even more knowledge. Also, I loved my Ayurvedic oil massages after a day of learning.” Bob J, Los Angeles, CA

“Scott Gerson is a rare healer with a exceptional mind and a gentle and open heart. Combining a tremendous formal training in Ayurvedic medicine in India, a first-class conventional medical education, and a continuous decades-long practice of Vedic meditation, Scott brought clarity, kindness and compassion to his teaching this past week. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and it certainly exceeded all expectations. Not everyone truly loves their work, but Scott obviously does. This translates into enabling him to deliver an inspired message of healing and hope to large numbers of people. If we had more teachers and healers like Dr. Scott Gerson, the world would be a far better place. I plan to return next year.” Patricia, D, Houston, TX

“Just being with Dr. Scott Gerson last month at the Advanced Ayurvedic Workshop was such a privilege and I already know he will be one of the greatest influencers of my wellness career. He provided me enough knowledge and guidance to learn while simultaneously gave me enough space to assimilate the information for myself. This workshop reignited my intellectual curiosity regarding Ayurveda. I had no idea that its teachings run so deep. I feel so fortunate to have had Dr. Gerson as a teacher and hope to continue learning from him.” Caroline M, Boston, MA

“I have practiced traditional, primary-care internal medicine for over 20 years. There always is a significant percentage of my patients who cannot be helped by the Western medical system. I’ve been slowly integrating Ayurvedic principles into my practice over the last few years with increasing confidence but realize there’s so much more to know. The four days with Dr. Gerson last November solidified my knowledge greatly and filled in many of the gaps in my knowledge. I deeply appreciated being able to ask questions and receive answers that were so obviously born from decades of experience. I feel am now able to better help many of my patients using Ayurvedic medicine.” David S, New York, NY

“Scott’s compassionate nature and wonderful sense of humor, attention to detail and ability to improvise are a few of his qualities that make him an authentic educator. In observing him during the workshop, I saw he delights in relating with others, and has developed the fine skill of listening to the words of others, and what lies between and under those words. His attention to detail and critical eye (and ear) for truth guide his teaching skills and I’m sure also his caring for his patients. He has become the most respected Ayurvedic physician in the United States (IMHO), and I refer people to him for true integrative medical consultations frequently. I wish he would devote more time to teaching.” Jacqueline R, Ashville, NC

“I am thankful to Dr. Gerson because he does such a great job of blending the mystic/energetic components of Ayurveda with the more technical scientific aspects. He was focusing on the energetics of Ayurvedic healing long before others started doing acknowledging it. This workshop was the best learning experience of any kind that I’ve experienced in fifty years! Thank you.” Linda H, San Francisco, CA

I have studied Ayurveda for over twenty years with individuals who I believed were knowledgeable and experienced including several West Coast schools and several other mentors around the U.S.. After attending this Advanced Workshop with Dr. Gerson ("Scott" as he likes to be called) I now realize that my previous education, while a beginning, was just that... a beginning. The most important lesson I took away from Scott was not so much any specific technique or particular concept which I'd never heard of before (there were a number), but rather an entire paradigm shift of what Ayurveda truly is: a healthcare system which addresses the imperceivable, underlying energetic basis of health and disease. Before, although I knew alot about what had been taught about food, herbs, body work, and lifestyle choices, it was never clear to me how adamantly these interventions were intended to be focused on the energetic anatomy of the human being--and not as much on the annamaya kosha (physical/food sheath). With all respect to my previous teachers, I did not receive that emphasis in what they taught--or at least it wasnt explained so clearly. You can only teach what you know and I understand that different teachers have different depths of knowlwdge. I am so grateful that I found Scott and will be coming back and absorbing every insight about Ayurveda he shares.  P.S. the Ayurvedic massage treatments which were offerred at the end of each day were so wonderful too.
